James R. Williams
PRIMARY PRACTICE: Commercial and Probate Litigation, Mediation (Civil and Family), Banking Law, Education Law, Agribusiness, Employment Law.
EXPERIENCE: Mr. Williams practiced law with White & Raub in Indianapolis from 1991 through 1994. He joined DeFur Voran in 1994 until 1997. He served as judge of the Union County Circuit Court from 1998-2004. Mr. Williams returned to DeFur Voran in January of 2005. He is a certified Civil Mediator and registered as private judge by Indiana Division of State Court Administration. Mr. Williams has served as a mediator and arbitrator in over 600 cases throughout the Midwest, many with multi-million dollar damage claims. He represents a wide range of clients in transactional matters as well as in trial and appellate litigation.
